  • 60 minutes (inclusive of prescription grade BLT numbing cream)

  • Avoid excessive sun-exposure, harsh topicals including exfoliants, antibiotics & retinol products & waxing or hair removal for 5-7 days prior to tx. Those prone to coldsore break-outs should pre-treatment with suitable anti-viral medication.

  • You will receive a custom post-care balm to soothe & nourish your skin for the next few days post tx. Avoid saunas / steam, swimming / hot tubs, rigorous exercise, makeup and excessive sun-exposure for 48 hours. Wait 7 days before resuming exfoliants & retinol products.

  • No downtime! Skin may appear slightly red / flushes post treatment (like a mild sunburn) & skin will feel rough to the touch (like sandpaper or a cats tongue!) for 3-5 days.

WHAT IS CLEAR + BRILLIANT?

It is a medical grade laser resurfacing treatment which improves the look of fine lines, appearance of pores & the overall tone, texture and appearance of the skin. Clear + Brilliant works by creating hundreds of thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin… sending your collagen production into overdrive! Damaged skin is replaced with healthy, glowing and younger-looking skin.Commonly referred to as “baby Fraxel” because it uses similar technology but has no downtime! Clear + Brilliant is safe for all skin tones, types & ethnicities.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Once you arrive for your treatment your medical practitioner will prep your skin using a gentle cleanser before applying topical prescription BLT for additional comfort (left on the skin for 15-20 minutes). The laser procedure lasts about 20-30 minutes - the majority of clients feel very little to no discomfort during the treatment (expect it to feel a little hot, prickly or ‘spicy’ at times).

A post treatment cooling collagen face mask is then applied to the skin accompanied by a handheld fan. All patients also receive a soothing post-care balm to take home with you & use over the next few days following your treatment. Some clients leave looking a little flushed/pink - like a mild sunburn - this subsides 2-4 hours post treatment. You will need to avoid exercise, direct sun exposure and makeup for the next 24 hours.

Over the next few days your skin may feel a little rough to the touch (similar to a cats tongue) - this is normal and not visible to the naked eye! You are free to go about your normal life uninterrupted.
